Sylvain Charlebois
In addition to teaching at Dalhousie University, Dr. Sylvain Charlebois is acting Scientific Director of the Institute for Agri-Food Analytical Sciences. He regularly contributes to the editorial pages of The Globe & Mail and La Presse as an expert in the agri-food sector. Author of more than 500 articles in international and professional scientific journals, Dr. Charlebois won twice the International Emerald Lit Prize (2008, 2012), one of the most prestigious awards in the field of scientific research in social sciences. Sitting on several boards of private companies, he is a member of the Scientific and Advisory Committees of Experts of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and board member of the Global Food Traceability Center, based in Washington.
