Originally from Chandler in the Gaspésie peninsula, Hugo St-Laurent graduated from Laval University in 1994 as a chemical engineer and, at age 23, started the great SiliCycle adventure. He first worked on manufacturing processes, then on sales.

Since 1998, he has managed all of the company’s activities and oversees all vice-presidents and directors. Very active in sales and marketing, Hugo is also heavily involved in financial strategies, human resources and the management of strategic projects (acquisitions, implementations).

In the fall of 2015, he completed a university certification in corporate governance from the College of Corporate Directors (CAS) of Laval University.
